As things stand:  My name is Bill Rushing, I'm 44, and as of August 23rd, 2010, I am happily married.  My wife is named Marsi.  We knew each other way back in high school, when she was on the dance team and I was in marching band.  We reconnected in early 2009, thanks to her finding her name in this piece that I wrote a while back about the destruction of our hometown theater.  Turns out she was not a member of that Wiegand family.  

I can say this; in my years of writing I've never had a mistake that had such a positive outcome.

I still play music, hope one day to get back to building musical instruments, and write badly for fun (which is why you are here).  

I'm a very long-term resident of San Diego (since 1973).  I took 13 years off to go live in the Bay Area (Santa Cruz and San Francisco) came back here and bought the place I grew up in.  I'm now renting it out and Marsi and I are living happily nearby.
